Deadline: October 21, 2020 10:59 p.m. PST
Santa Monica Cultural Affairs seeks proposals from artists and artisans living in Los Angeles County for a fourteen-week studio residency. The residency supports artists that highlight the intersection of fine art and craft and can provide the public with access to a variety of artistic practice and instruction. All disciplines and mediums will be considered. An honorarium of $2500 will be offered.
The Studio Residency Program offers artists a glass-walled studio four blocks from the Expo Line in an iconic midcentury building in Palisades Park overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Pier. Due to COVID-19, the facility is closed to the public but will be available to approved artist residents with restrictions focused on safety.*
Three terms are available: January 20 – April 28, 2021; May 12 – August 18, 2021; or September 1 – December 15, 2021.
