Krister, a principal at design firm Tree-Axis, has received a number of awards for his work, including an ID Magazine Interactive Silver Award, a Clio Award, a One Show Gold Pencil Award, and an Excellence Prize from the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs. His work has appeared in a number of publications, from The New York Times to The Face to Wired, and he has exhibited in the U.S., Asia, and Europe. A former columnist for both IdN and Shift, Krister spent three years teaching design and programming at California College of the Arts and San Francisco Art Institute before coming to UCLA. He has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Swarthmore College.
