Previous / Next image (1 of 1) The installation sets out to reflect the appearance of a natural element that is a structural component of life with the use of water bottles. The water bottles represent the artificially purified constricted water, which mirror the natural organic flow of water. Usually being seen as vessels for water, I am trying to change the function and perception of water bottles by placing them in a form that is fluid and emulates the essential element of life that they usually contain. The piece will be installed in a classroom to express the trigger point of space, appearance, and belonging. Water bottles are brought into classrooms by students everyday to function as containers for water that will nourish them whenever they are thirsty. My hope is that the large installation of water bottles will activate the space of the classroom and will make people question the function of the water bottles, for they take the shape of an organic form in an artificial space In addition, if chosen for the ugshow I am planning on making it taller and wider to better fit the gallery space as well as place a light with a blue filter above it.
